Lost Commissions?

I've just noticed that some of my affiliate links I use are in the format weblink?u=[pub_id]&p=123&.....

The thing is I've not changed the [pub_id] by accident and have used these links on a high footfall website.

Admittedly, this is my fault. It's an easy mistake to make and one I have quickly amended.

My point, however, is that generating unique links in PHP is a doddle using the echo statement:

<?php echo "weblink?u=".$pub_id."&p=123"; ?>

So why do some networks just print a generic link? If I ran a network, I would certainly add this code. And many do, it's just a couple of sites that have forgotten to add this functionality.

Rant over!
