It shouldn't be too long but I won't be posting for a while.
I'm changing telephone numbers and so far, it appears I can't get broadband. Somebody's trying to be funny here. It's 2007. What happened to getting everyone online?
So, I'm reverting to trusty dialup for a while (hopefully once my number has been banded around broadband suppliers for 24 hours, they should see it as broadband enabled - after all, the exchange is enabled).
Hopefully in a couple of weeks, this shall all be sorted and I'll be back.

How about cable internet? When I moved house, it was going to take weeks to get ADSL up and running, so I got cable instead and was broadband enabled in a few days.
