Christmas Is A time Of Ideas

Argh, Christmas is looming and I've now got too many ideas to action!

I've got a script I want to code (which is to be resold), I've got a couple of websites I want to build and a couple I want to redevelop.

Where do I start?!

I'm conscious of the fact that I've built a lot of sites this year and I'm also conscious of the fact that I've got some sites that are under-performing.

I've got a few sites in mind, all of which will require me to add some content and will hence take time to setup. I've been putting these off for about a month now (they aren't Christmas related so aren't important at the moment).

The script will take time to develop but it's something that can be put on a website as a downloadable script (for a fee of course). Whilst the development time is approximately 2 weeks, the website itself should be fairly easy to setup in a day or two.

As for the redevelpment, I've got a few ideas to elevate my standard websites into something more unique, and user centric. Again, these will require coding and will take about a month to do (worst case scenario), and will probably end up with a PageRank displacement as pages disappear and new one's come to light.

So what's the kerfuffle? Apart from which order to do these in, my main stumbling block is working out what the unique features of each project will be. I've harped on about unique features before and how I feel they are important.

The reason being that a site with a quirky feature can help viral promotion. The more buzz a site gets, the more traffic it can receive. The more traffic there is, the more affiliate and advertising revenue that should be generated and hopefully more people subscribe to your mailing list. More RSS subscribers together with your new found email subscribers should ensure you have the opportunity to encourage repeat custom.

The chances are, however, that I will weigh these up and plop them in order of ease!
