A New Year, A Renewed Persistence

2007 has been and gone. For me, it was financially better than 2006. Hopefully 2008 will prove more lucrative.

I've got a couple of websites I need to roll out soon and I've got a couple of redesigns looming. Christmas tought me a few things and highlighted a few areas I need to improve on to progress in this business.

Compare Sat Nav

A few things need to be done here. Firstly, the updates aren't frequent enough. Ideally, the prices would be updated daily. This isn't a problem as I concocted a plan on Christmas Eve that sorts this out.

Another problem is unique content. I said from day one that I needed unique content but found 101 excuses not to spend time on the site. This will definitely be sorted soon as I want to roll out some architectural changes and these will force me to make the changes!

Styling needs another look too. The thing I like about http://www.davidfiske.com is that every month a new theme automatically appears. What would be nice is to create a script that automatically changes the content and theme. It's easy enough to do so I might roll this into the architectural changes detailed above.

Last but not least, I have some new sticky features which will be rolled out this year. If you though price tracking was clever, wait until you see this!

Price Tapestry Templates

PTT needs a new design, plus I want to add some more 'shop' type scripts to it such as listing the most popular templates, etc.

Other Tasks

I have a couple of sites I want to fine tune and release, a few ideas that need padding out and some domains that just need content.

Just a few things to keep me busy!
