It's Christmas and that means loads of merchants are topping up the big earner's range of festive gifts (ahem, also known as sales based incentives). For us little folk, there are a range of competitions perfect for us as they involve more creative ways of winning a little extra this Christmas. one that caught my eye yesterday was the Virginia Hayward Hampers incentive.

What Are They Like?

I've actually shopped through Virginia Hayward this year and there's a few hampers winging their way around the country over the next two weeks :-) This means I can talk from experience!

The product selection is very good indeed with a range of hampers for a range of budgets. Clear, detailed descriptions and large photos help understand what's in the hamper more clearly. I like the detailed zoom feature but would prefer to "view large image" as an option as well. The checkout process is clear though quite long winded if you have a lot of hampers to send to a lot of places.

I have a few criticisms though. When you search for a hamper you cannot refine the results or sort them by name or price. This meant it was a little tricky finding exactly what I wanted. The checkout process seemed not as streamlined as it could have been. Perhaps it would have been better to be taken to an address book screen where I can type all the addresses in one go and then match them to the respective hamper rather than entering and matching one at a time.

As for deliveries, I cannot vouch for these just yet but trust there shouldn't be any major problem here.
